Sales Rep wanted!
Excellent entry level opportunity with established Publishing Company
Hancock House Publishers (HHP) is looking for a Sales and Service Representative who is a self starter and also a team player and looking for a unique opportunity to help us grow and to grow with us. We will need someone who can start out part-time (10-15days/month), this would be an ideal job for someone looking to supplement their income but is able to also do full time as eventually you can build this into a full-time job. Most of the work will be done on the road, with some days in the office (pre and post sales trips). The ideal candidate will also be able to work in both Canada and the United States and must be able to cross the border. Our head office is located in Surrey and US office is in Blaine WA.
Duties:
Coordinate with HHP customers to arrange service times
. Familiarize and have a good knowledge of HHP products and services offered
. Increase sales by promoting our products and services
Offer excellent customer service to existing clients
Inventory rack accounts and submit reports to head office
Replenish stock and deliver new stock when necessary
. Develop and implement a schedule for customer contact and capitalize on opportunities
. Communicate with Office Manager at Head Office location
. Other duties as assigned
Skills/knowledge
Current valid drivers license
Experience in sales and service an asset
Attention to details in filling orders and inventory counts
Proficient computer skills
. Sound communication and interpersonal skills
Strong organizational and time management skills
Experience
Must have minimum 1 year sales experience
Physical Elements
Traveling for service and sales calls
Standing
Lifting 20lbs and more
Days and hours are flexible - will start out with servicing the regions in spring and fall.
Please include in your cover letter your pay expectations as well as confirming you are have a valid D/L and passport and are able to cross the border in your own large (SUV, covered truck or van) vehicle.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
